This is a story about a boy and a girl who met, fell in love and both coincidently had a passion and love for cars. Between both, they had over 40 years combined customer service, sales and marketing experience behind them.
They wanted to bring an offering to the smart car community, by letting drivers have an option of Accessorizing, Customizing and Personalizing their smart car. He coincidently was one of the first, reservation holders when the car was released into the US and she was coincidently part of the original smart car focus groups (back in the late 90s) prior to Mercedes releasing them in the US.
They both did their homework on how to launch the business, and started their venture in the spare room of their home. Eventually, parts and boxes started taking over their living room and home and the realization of a warehouse was definitely needed. Let’s just say when the household cat got lost in the maze of boxes and started to meow for help, that was the moment where both thought that maybe they should get a bigger space.
The first building was actually an industrial garage with one phone line, one electrical outlet and one folding table that acted as a desk. Within a year and a half, SMART MADNESS had outgrown that facility and the need to a bigger warehouse and install facility was needed.
Then came along 2716 Dawson Ave with a team of 4 and it was important that everyone embraced the original mission statement.
The mission statement of the company was to make sure every customer was given the best customer service and that the rule of treat others as one would wish to be treated was fully enforced. The Golden Rule was embraced and to this day, it is still the back bone of the company. The company started off with the smart car and has now grown to encompass all makes and models of vehicles, hence MADNESS AUTOWORKS.
Fast forward to present day. We have catered to enthusiasts from across the globe. Our clientele ranges from celebrities to VIPs like yourself, the daily driver. Since our launch we have become the largest parts and accessory provider globally for the smart car , the FIAT and Alfa Romeo family, Jeep Renegade and many, many more.
Our original store is in Signal Hill, CA and we have since opened our 2nd location right outside of Austin, TX, in the beautiful Hill Country town of Spicewood.
Both locations ship product around the globe and also have full install facilities, along with customer service reps that can help over the phone or in person at our store.
Our goal at MADNESS Autoworks is to provide you, our fellow enthusiast with the very best in products and services at reasonable prices with a personal touch. Our business was founded on offering excellent customer service, along with the Golden Rule and standing behind the products and services we offer.
