Digital Gauges
ScanGaugeIII provides real-time gauges to show you what is going on “under the hood” with built-in digital gauges. The gauge screen allows you to select and display up to 9 gauges at a time, so you can monitor the current operating conditions of your vehicle in real-time.
In addition to the standard set of gauges, ScanGaugeIII also includes the exclusive X-Gauge technology. With XGauge, you can add additional vehicle specific gauges automatically with it’s NEW Auto Scan for XGauges or by manually entering them.
Learn to Improve Your Gas Mileage
The US government has put out a report that says driving habits can change fuel-economy by up to 33%.ScanGauge provides real-time data about your vehicle’s instant and average fuel economy, fuel used, cost of fuel used for each trip, cost per mile, gallons per hour and more! There are many ways to reduce your fuel usage and increase fuel economy. Real time feedback like what the ScanGauge provides is one of the most effective.
Real-Time Fuel Economy Gauges
Automatic Trip Computers
With four built-in trip computers, the ScanGauge can keep track of everything from fuel cost to distance traveled and everything in between. Data is stored on the ScanGauge and is retained even when the power is disconnected. Each trip computer starts automatically and information is available anytime during the trip.
Time & Distance Trip Computers
The ScanGauge includes three trip computers based on time and distance. They include the Current Trip, Today Trip and Previous Day Trip. Each trip computer starts automatically and tracks the following parameters:
Tank Trip
The ScanGauge includes a trip computer based on the current tank of fuel. The tank trip computer starts automatically when you tell ScanGauge you have filled your tank.
Turn off That Check Engine Light!
The ScanGaugeIII can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and if found, can display how many there are and the Trouble Codes themselves along with the code meaning. You are also able to view pending codes if there are any to catch problems before they become worse. The ScanGaugeIII can scan your vehicle for emissions readiness and let you know what if any tests have not passed before you take your vehicle in for emissions testing.
Is Your Vehicle Ready for Emissions Testing?
Some states now require that before running emissions checks, the vehicle self-tests have to be completed and cleared. The ScanGaugeIII reports this “Readiness” and what tests may not have passed yet.
Read & Clear Pending Trouble Codes
If no codes are found and your Check Engine light is still on, your vehicle may be storing pending codes. The ScanGaugeII provides a method to force clear any detected or undetected Trouble Codes with just a few touches of the screen.

Designing Products For Vehicle Diagnostics Since 1996
Linear Logic was founded in Arizona in 1982. Early products were directed toward the Apple II computer and it’s later series. Other products involved aircraft intercom and headset products.
In July of 2004, Linear Logic became a Limited Liability Company (LLC). We have been making products for vehicle diagnostics since 1996. In 2004, we introduced the original ScanGauge. This was a new-to-the-industry product which turned ordinary diagnostic data from the vehicle into useful gauges and information that could be viewed in realtime.
The First ScanGauge
In May of 2006, the ScanGaugeII was introduced. It was in response to requests to make the display larger, the case smaller and the backlight in more colors than just orange-red. This and much more was done and more recently the ScanGauageE was developed for people who wanted a lower cost smaller unit that would be optimized for reducing fuel cost.
